Architectural Designer – North Adams, MA, US | Works


GCAM, an arts and culture consulting firm founded in 2008 by Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation Director Emeritus Thomas Krens, is looking for full-time designers / architects based in our office in North Adams, MA to work across a wide range projects, including cultural development master plans, the elaboration and design of museum concepts and the design of exhibitions. Ideal candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture and have 2-5 years of professional experience. In addition, candidates should have strong communication skills, be highly motivated and willing to work as part of a team within the architecture department as well as in other departments. Successful candidates must demonstrate the following: proficiency in 3D modeling using Rhino, Sketchup; proficient in preparing files for 3D visualizations, using Rhino, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D; and proficiency in producing graphics using Adobe Suite or other software. Experience in model making and manufacturing including 3D printing, CNC milling and laser cutting is a plus. Experience in project management in cultural projects is preferred.
