The Taube Museum of Art is officially launching its 2021-2022 year of art classes for children, offering a diverse range of classes for all ages, from 9 months old. Classes run from October to May and fees vary. To register for the courses, visit www.taubemuseum.org and go to the Education section, call 701-838-4445, or drop by the museum during regular opening hours.
A Start In Art takes place every two months on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 9:30 am. Children listen to stories, receive tours from different zoo animals, and work on related art projects. This program is designed for children aged 9 months to 5 years.
Art All Around is a cut above your traditional art class and is for children who are interested in further art exploration. Students will create their own masterpiece during each session. Classes take place every two months on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. and are designed for children ages 7 and up.
Paint a Purple Cow is an art class specially designed for homeschooled children. This monthly program gives children the opportunity to view the current exhibition, learn about a famous artist, and then participate in a hands-on art activity. Classes take place every month on Friday at 10:30 am.
Museum and gift shop opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 11 p.m. to 4 p.m., or by special appointment. Admission is free, but contributions are accepted to help the MusÃ©e de Taube fulfill its mission of enriching life through the visual arts.
