Colorado BLM Public Meetings for Big Game Resource Management Plan Amendment and Environmental Impact Statement
Lakewood, Colo.– Colorado State Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Seeks Public Comment on a Resource Management Plan Amendment and Associated Environmental Impact Statement to Assess the Oil and Gas Program and Other Decisions into existing BLM Colorado Resource Management Plans to promote the conservation of big game corridors and other important big game habitat on BLM-administered lands and minerals in Colorado.
A Notice of Intent was posted on July 19, 2022, beginning a 45-day public review period (https://www.blm.gov/press-release/blm-seeks-public-comments-preparation-plan-conserve-big-game-habitat-and-corridors). The BLM will hold two virtual meetings and three in-person meetings in Colorado to provide information and answer questions regarding this amendment. The public meetings will help participants learn about the plan change and make written submissions to the BLM before the comment period ends on September 2, 2022.
In-person meetings will be held in an open house format, with BLM specialists present at information stations to interact with meeting attendees to provide answers or additional information. Oral comments will not be accepted during in-person meetings, but laptops and printed comment cards will be available to submit comments on-site. The virtual meetings will include a BLM presentation, a Q&A session, and an oral public comment session.

For comments to be considered, the BLM must receive them no later than September 2, 2022. Comments may be provided in the following manner:
- Attend a public meeting. Virtual meetings will include an oral feedback session and in-person meetings will have laptops and comment cards available for written feedback.
